Job Summary:

The Hostess is the first point of contact for guests at Nizza, Sofitel's Mediterranean restaurant. Responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, managing reservations, and coordinating with the service team to ensure an exceptional dining experience in line with Sofitel's luxury standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Experience

Greet and welcome all guests with professionalism, warmth, and elegance. Manage table assignments, reservations, and guest flow in the restaurant. Escort guests to tables and provide menus, ensuring comfort and satisfaction. Maintain a detailed guest list and record preferences for future reference. Handle guest inquiries and accommodate special requests or dietary needs. Support service team in guest communication and coordination during busy periods.

Operations & Coordination

Manage the reservation system and ensure accuracy in seating plans. Communicate effectively with the kitchen and service staff on guest arrivals and special occasions. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the hostess desk and entrance area. Ensure that menus, promotional materials, and decor are up to date and aligned with brand standards.

Service Excellence

Uphold Sofitel's service culture by delivering personalized and attentive service. Handle guest feedback courteously and report issues to the Restaurant Manager. Promote restaurant specials, events, and loyalty programs when appropriate.

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Hostess or Guest Relations Officer, preferably in a fine dining or 5-star hotel environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Fluent in English; knowledge of other languages is an advantage. Well-groomed, confident, and poised with a pleasant personality. Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
