Hotel Event Sales Executive

Job Description


  • Education: Bachelor\'s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in sales, preferably in a hotel or event management setting.
  • Languages: English & Mandarin.
Skills:
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Working Conditions:
  • Standard office environment within the hotel, with occasional need to attend off-site client meetings or events.
  • May require evening or weekend work depending on event schedules.
  • Ability to travel locally for client meetings or industry events.
ResponsibilitiesSales and Business Development:
  • Identify and target potential clients for hotel events, including corporate clients, wedding planners, and event organizers.
  • Conduct sales calls, presentations, and site inspections to promote hotel event spaces and services.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients to generate repeat business.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Event Planning and Coordination:
  • Work closely with clients to understand their event requirements and tailor hotel services to meet their needs.
  • Coordinate all event details, including room setup, catering, audiovisual needs, and any special requests.
  • Liaise with the hotel\'s operations team to ensure the smooth execution of events.
  • Ensure that all client expectations are met or exceeded during the planning and execution phases.
Customer Service:
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales and event planning process.
  • Address any client concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Follow up with clients post-event to gather feedback and ensure satisfaction.
  • Handle any last-minute changes or emergencies with a calm and solution-oriented approach.
Marketing and Promotion:
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns to attract event clients.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the hotel\'s event services.
  • Maintain a strong social media presence to engage with potential clients and promote the hotel\'s events.
Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts to track progress towards targets.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide feedback to the management team on market conditions, competitor activity, and customer preferences.
