Handles co-worker counseling, performance appraisals and other required documentation, as well as recommending and assisting in disciplinary action up to and including termination and making hiring decisions
Helps co-workers, supervisors, and department heads to settle work-related conflicts through advice and recommendation; recommends solutions when repetition of individual problems indicate negative trends
Acts as a resource to leaders/managers regarding employee issues
Assist in developing department goals, objectivities and systems
Acts as a resource to all co-workers
Supports Benchmarks affirmative action plan
Develops and places employment and other community related ads
Assists in overseeing the on-site organization and coordination of production staffing
Assists in monitoring and supporting company policies and procedures and federal/state regulations, to include but not limited to FMLA, ADA, sexual harassment investigations, etc.
Conducts exit interviews with staff to determine if corrective actions may retain valued staff and reviews findings with management
Performs the function of editor to the employee newsletter
Participates in various employee training classes
May coordinate and actively participate in new co-worker orientations, interviews and handbook or harassment training
Assist in overseeing others in Human Resources an act as the Designate in the Human Resource Managers absence
Performs department audits
Performs routine plant tours
May perform other duties as necessary to support the HR function or division
