1. Human Resource Strategy & Planning
~Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's business goals and manufacturing operations.
~Plan manpower requirements based on production volume, seasonal demand, and business expansion.
~Advise management on organizational structure, succession planning, and workforce optimization.
2. Recruitment & Staffing
~Lead the full recruitment cycle for factory and office positions -- from job posting, screening, interviewing to onboarding.
~Work closely with production and engineering departments to ensure manpower adequacy on the production floor.
~Manage foreign worker recruitment, documentation, and permit renewals in compliance with local regulations.
3. Training & Development
~Identify training needs across departments and coordinate internal and external training programs.
~Develop and implement skill-upgrading plans for operators, technicians, and engineers.
~Maintain training records and evaluate effectiveness of training programs.
4. Performance Management
~Implement and manage the company's performance appraisal system (KPI or competency-based).
~Support department heads in performance evaluation, promotion, and disciplinary management.
~Ensure fair and consistent performance management practices across all levels.
5. Compensation & Benefits Administration
~Manage payroll, attendance, overtime, and leave records accurately and timely.
~Benchmark and review salary structure, allowances, and benefits to maintain competitiveness.
~Oversee claims, incentives, bonuses, and statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB).
6. Employee Relations & Welfare
~Foster a positive and productive work culture among factory and office employees.
~Handle grievances, counselling, and disciplinary issues in accordance with company policy and Malaysian Labour Law.
~Organize employee engagement activities and welfare programs.
7. Compliance & Industrial Relations
~Ensure compliance with the Malaysian Employment Act, OSHA, and other statutory regulations.
~Maintain proper HR documentation, including employment contracts, policies, and procedures.
~Liaise with government agencies (Labour Department, Immigration, PERKESO, etc.) on related matters.
8. Administration & HR Systems
~Supervise administrative functions including office facilities, security, and general services.
~Manage HR digitalization initiatives such as attendance system (e.g., face scan), e-leave, and HRMS.
~Prepare monthly HR reports and analysis for management review.
Requirements:
~Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
~Minimum 3-8 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role in a manufacturing environment.
~Strong knowledge of Malaysian Labour Laws and HR best practices.
~Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
~Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office.
~Able to work independently and handle confidential information professionally.
Additional Advantage:
~Experience managing foreign workers (recruitment, hostel, permits).
~Familiarity with ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 management systems.
~Exposure to payroll systems such as SQL Payroll, AutoCount, or similar.KJM
