The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing all HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation & benefits, compliance with labour laws, and HR policy implementation. This role plays a strategic and operational role in supporting business objectives and fostering a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Strategy & Planning
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's business goals.
Advise management on HR best practices, workforce planning, and organisational development.
2. Recruitment & Talent Management
Oversee end-to-end recruitment and selection processes.
Manage onboarding and orientation programmes for new hires.
Develop talent management and succession planning initiatives.
3. Employee Relations & Engagement
Handle employee relations matters including grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
Promote a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment.
Lead employee engagement and well-being initiatives.
4. Performance Management
Manage performance appraisal systems and ensure fair, consistent implementation.
Support managers in performance improvement and employee development plans.
5. Compensation & Benefits
Manage salary structures, benefits administration, and payroll coordination.
Conduct salary benchmarking and ensure competitiveness and internal equity.
6. Training & Development
Identify training needs and develop learning & development programmes.
Monitor training effectiveness and employee skill enhancement.
7. Policy, Compliance & Governance
Develop, review, and enforce HR policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with labour laws, statutory requirements, and company regulations.
Liaise with external bodies such as labour office, auditors, and regulators when required.
8. HR Operations & Reporting
Oversee HR records, HR systems, and data accuracy.
Prepare HR reports, analytics, and management presentations.
Manage and guide the HR team to ensure efficient operations.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum
5-8 years
of HR experience, with at least
2-3 years in a managerial role
.
Strong knowledge of labour laws and HR best practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle confidential matters with professionalism and discretion.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience in SQL systems
Prior experience in Engineering Industry.
Professional HR certification (e.g. SHRM, CIPD, HRDF) is an added advantage.
