Job Description


Direct Search Global is working an international maritime company to fill a role of HR Manager (Project) to be based at their Malaysia office.

Job Purpose

Initiate, develop and spearhead the activities in delivering and executing integrated HR solutions, such as talent sourcing, recruitment, development and engagement. This is to meet and achieve the outcomes of business units.

Job Responsibilities

Project Sourcing & Recruitment

  • Discuss the project resources planning with heads of department and project managers.
  • Develop and manage the recruitment of suitable project resources based on Project Contract basis as dictated according to each project organization ramp up plan.
  • Communicate with external manpower suppliers to determine suitable candidates for project.
  • Develop compensation and benefit packages for project and agencies personnel
  • Organize recruitment activities together with external manpower suppliers.
  • Ensure smooth on-boarding and off-boarding experience and be the point of contact for candidates.
  • Establish professional relationship with external manpower suppliers.
  • Align project recruitment guidelines and procedures in compliance with HSE.
  • Use SAP system and EPROC system to release vendors purchase orders.
  • Supervise global project recruitment.
Global Mobility
  • Handle Project Global mobility and immigration management for relocation of project staff, business trips and vendor inspections.
  • Ensure smooth mobilization and demobilization of project staff to and from work location.
Development
  • Identify the development needs of the project staff.
  • Plan and organize suitable training for project staff\'s development which should be in line with approved training programme by the business unit.
Career & performance management
  • Work closely with Project Management Team to manage career and performance of each project staff.
  • Implement Performance Management System (PMS) for each project staff.
Employee Engagement
  • Be the point of contact for project staff engagement, especially on HR policy communication and implementation.
  • Manage conflicts and respond to staff queries and complaints to ensure a harmonious working environment.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum 10 - 12 years of relevant working experience with minimum 3 years working experience at a managerial level.
  • Bachelor\'s Degree / Master\'s Degree in Human Resource Management, Social Science or equivalent.
