This role is essential in driving procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing costs for their IT and telecom product categories. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the IT and telecom industry, be well-versed in procurement best practices, and possess a strong technical acumen in IT and telecom products.Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for IT and telecom product categories to support the company\'s objectives and operational requirements.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, assess risk, and leverage opportunities within the IT and telecom sectors.
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, and performance management, to ensure value for money, quality, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the organisation to understand and fulfill their procurement needs while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Foster strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms and manage supply chain risks effectively.
  • Stay abreast of technological advancements and innovations in the IT and telecom fields to drive efficiency and competitive advantage.
  • Lead cost-reduction initiatives and budget management for the assigned categories, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
  • Provide support and guidance to fellow team members, leveraging your expertise to assist in Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement and contracts.
  • Prepare and present reports and analytics on category performance, savings achieved, and market intelligence to senior management.
Requirements:
  • Min 8 years of experience in strategic sourcing and, especially within IT and/or telecom sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract law, and supplier management.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving savings and improving terms in procurement roles.
  • Ability to analyze data, understand market dynamics, and make informed decisions.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as MS Office Suite.
