Technical Support:
Provide first-line technical support to employees regarding hardware (computers, peripherals, mobile devices) and software issues, often through a help desk system.
Inventory Tracking:
Use barcode technology to track company assets and product inventory, ensuring accuracy in the system (e.g., in a warehouse or retail setting).
Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to barcode equipment, software applications, and network connectivity, escalating complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
Installation and Maintenance:
Set up new computer systems, hardware, and software applications; perform routine maintenance tasks, updates, and patches to keep systems running smoothly.
Data Management:
Perform data entry, maintain databases, and assist with data backup and recovery procedures.
Documentation and Training:
Create and maintain technical documentation and user guides, and train staff on how to use new systems and technologies effectively.
Collaboration:
Work with other departments and external vendors to ensure smooth IT operations and service delivery.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
Technical Knowledge:
Foundational understanding of computer hardware, software, operating systems (Windows, MacOS), and basic networking principles.
Problem-Solving:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Attention to Detail:
Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data entry, inventory tracking, and system configurations.
Communication:
Fluent in English/Oral/ Written.
Customer Service:
A patient and helpful demeanor when providing user assistance and support.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred by some employers.
Computer Skills:
Powerpoint, MS Word, Ms Excel, ERP System (bonus). And Any barcode system.
Certifications:
Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) can be advantageous.
