Position: IT OPERATIONS EXECUTIVE Fortinet Engineer

Salary Up To RM10000

Location: Kuala Lumpur

s:

• Maintain and enhance the network by engineering and architecting on either Fortinet, Juniper, or Cisco.
• Manage Network Infrastructure including firewalls, routers, switches, load balancers, SSL acceleration technology, etc.
• Conduct performance analysis and optimizing on network environments.
• Maintaining multi-site network infrastructure and software applications, operating systems, and regular maintenance with both private and public facilities
• Provide Level 3 technical support on troubleshooting and resolution for our Network Operations Team.
• Conduct training and knowledge transfer to internal departments like Network Operations.
• Document and refine all (Technical and Network Engineering) processes into the Knowledge Library.
• Lead by your competence, coach with commitment, and motivate with positive energy to your staff.
• Provides guidance and direction for less experienced engineers.
• Build a trusted relationship with Customers with dedicated commitment.
• Willing to standby weekend/ nighttime to monitor network changes, problems, and incidents, or off-hours maintenance windows.
• Managing assigned projects and program components to deliver services following established objectives.
• Any other duties as assigned by management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be responsible for our Network Engineering and Technical Solution activities. Network Engineering:

• Good technical skills in WAN protocols, advance knowledge in Dynamic Routing Protocol such as BGP, and OSPF/EIGRP (configuration and troubleshooting).
• Strong ability in conducting TCP/IP networking, architecture, and core technologies(MPLS, BGP, OSPF, ISIS, DNS, HTTP, etc.).
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the basics behind the Internet and its workings (DNS, Security, IP Routing, HTTP, VPN, Email Routing, SPAM, etc.).
• Configure and setup Cisco Firewalls, VPN Concentrators, and Security appliances for access to vital business applications
• Configuring and installing server and client network software for upgrading and maintaining network and telecommunication systems.
• Conduct Firewall/Security enhancements (Access-Control-List management, Secure Remote management practices, IDS, etc.
• Manage and resolve customer escalations; providing support and guidance to resolve incidents and faults escalation proactively and diligently.
• Manage and enhance BGP Peerings.
• Provide server build and installs, application upgrades, network equipment build, and installation.
• Maintain hardware serial audits.
• Provide reports on the status and performance of Network, ISP services, and Facilities.
• Facilities maintenance (monitoring and management of SLAs, running health and safety and housekeeping checks at POPs).
• Thought Leadership/Innovation (to gain knowledge of new IP technology/trends and applies that knowledge to product development for innovation).
• Assist in support patching tools, security vulnerability scanning, and antivirus solutions.
• Assist in Scripting of PowerShell and Ansible scripts.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess Fortinet NSE 4 Certification on FortiOS 7.
• Candidate must possess a strong knowledge on supporting TCP/IP with at least 1year hands-on experience.
• Candidate must possess at least degree in computer science/engineering/IT or equivalent
• Experience with firewalls, switches, IPsec, IDS/IPS.
• Have a strong passion in networking as well as the drive and energy to pursue a career in this field.
• Candidate who has been certified in MCTNA is preferred.
• Fresh graduates with Degree in Engineering (Majoring in Networking and Internet Technologies) are encouraged to apply.
