Job Description

Our client, a reputable developer based in Johor Bahru, is strengthening its project delivery team in preparation for several upcoming commercial and high-rise developments. We are seeking an experienced professional with strong site management capability, solid technical knowledge, and a proven ability to drive projects from initial planning through to completion.

Key Responsibilities



Plan, coordinate, and implement end-to-end project schedules to ensure works are completed on time, within budget, and in line with required quality standards. Oversee day-to-day site operations, track construction progress, and take corrective action to avoid delays, LAD exposure, and issues affecting CCC. Lead site meetings and provide clear direction to the project team and contractors. Anticipate project risks early and propose practical solutions to minimize impact on progress or cost. Collaborate closely with consultants, contractors, local authorities, internal teams, and management to maintain seamless project execution. Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, authorities' requirements, and safety regulations. Resolve technical challenges, discrepancies in drawings, and site problems that arise during construction. Monitor and follow up on consultant deliverables to ensure drawings, reports, and technical documents are issued according to the project timeline. Review and validate contractor claims, variation order submissions, and payment applications in accordance with contract terms. Participate in coordination meetings with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities. Manage authority submissions, inspections, and approval processes required for obtaining CCC. Provide leadership and guidance to the site team to maintain high workmanship standards. Enforce stringent safety protocols and good site practices. Oversee handover processes and monitor defect rectification works throughout the DLP. Prepare periodic progress reports and present overall project status to senior management and stakeholders. Perform any additional duties assigned by the immediate superior.

Requirements



Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Building Technology, or a related discipline. 6-10 years of relevant construction or development experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or managerial position. Strong foundation in site construction management with sound understanding of building techniques, materials, and regulatory standards. Background in property development companies or main contractors is highly preferred. Experience with shopping mall or high-rise projects is an added advantage. Strong leadership qualities, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and reporting abilities in English, with the ability to work effectively with consultants, contractors, authorities, and internal departments.

Mandarin proficiency is required

due to the nature of communication with stakeholders.

Working Hours:

Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM

Salary Range:

RM8,000 - RM13,000

Company Car / Petrol Allowance:
