About the Role

We are looking for a

Junior DBA Engineer

with hands-on experience in managing and supporting Oracle, MySQL, and MariaDB databases. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL skills, good understanding of Unix/Linux environments, and the ability to support daily database operations, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

Perform day-to-day administration of

Oracle, MySQL, and MariaDB

databases. Handle database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities. Monitor database performance and optimize queries for improved efficiency. Manage backup, recovery, and data restoration processes. Troubleshoot database issues, including connectivity, performance, and storage-related concerns. Support database security, access control, and user privilege management. Work with application and infrastructure teams to ensure database stability and availability. Maintain documentation for database configurations, procedures, and standards.

Technical Skills Required

Hands-on experience with

Oracle

,

MySQL

, and

MariaDB

databases. Strong understanding of

SQL

and database query optimization. Experience working in

Unix/Linux

environments. Knowledge of database backup and recovery tools. Understanding of database performance monitoring and troubleshooting techniques.

Good to Have

Exposure to

Sybase

database administration. Experience with scripting (Shell/Python) for automation. Basic understanding of HA/DR setups (Replication, Clustering).

Preferred Candidate Profile

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments. Good communication and collaboration skills. Attention to detail and commitment to data integrity and system reliability.
