Position: Senior Estimation Engineer x 1 pax Salary range: Depend on last drawn salary & experience Work location: Puchong, Selangor Reporting to: Estimation Manager Dept: Project & Procurement (Cooperate with Marketing Dept) Role Summary: Responsible for cost estimation and technical and commercial proposal preparation for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns and skids/ modules or other pressurised or non-pressurised equipment according to client specification. Responsibilities: \xe2\x80\xa2 Perform preliminary design calculations for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks & etc. \xe2\x80\xa2 Prepare preliminary equipment material specifications and material take offs. \xe2\x80\xa2 Perform computation of project cost estimate for tender submission. \xe2\x80\xa2 Inquiry for preliminary quotation for materials, etc to support pricing \xe2\x80\xa2 Prepare technical and commercial proposals per clients RFQ or ITB. \xe2\x80\xa2 Responsible to clarification proposals and/or negotiations as required \xe2\x80\xa2 Work closely with Project Management, Procurement, Engineering Design, Production & QA/QC Department to ensure all aspects in the scope of work required by client and offered by suppliers/ sub-vendors are covered in the proposal and ensure that profit is well kept \xe2\x80\xa2 Attend technical and commercial bid clarifications meeting from clients during the pre-award stage \xe2\x80\xa2 Prepare project budget prior to project kick off \xe2\x80\xa2 Gathering of ideas on latest technology, current market practices and cost updating through exchange of ideas with clients, sub-vendors or suppliers and sub-contractors. \xe2\x80\xa2 To guide junior estimator in computation of cost estimates and preparation of tender documents \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure that all proposals have been duly approved by the Management according to the limit of Authorities in the Company Policy prior to the proposal being relieved to clients. \xe2\x80\xa2 Any other tasks or projects assigned by immediate superior or department head as and when required. \xe2\x80\xa2 Job Requirement: \xe2\x80\xa2 Diploma/Degree in Engineering / equivalent professional courses \xe2\x80\xa2 5 years and above relevant work experience preferably for oil & gas, petrochemical, refining, chemical, mineral processing, and pharmaceutical industries \xe2\x80\xa2 Diligent, responsible and good team spirits \xe2\x80\xa2 Preferred candidate has experience in perform preliminary design calculations for pressure vessels/ heat exchangers, tanks or process modules & etc. About The Company : The company is a strategic joint venture between company in Japan and fabricator\xe2\x80\x99s company in Malaysia.
