Job Description

• Report to Plant Operation Head of Pentas Flora Sdn. Bhd.

• Review, monitor and ensure Laboratory Management System able to meet Company\xe2\x80\x99s overall quality objectives

• Communicate with Standards Malaysia for issue regarding SAMM accreditation.

• Responsible to maintain and monitor laboratory\xe2\x80\x99s conformance to Laboratory Management System.

• Plan and execute internal audit and report findings to Management Review Committee.

• Ensure lab is well maintained by assigning cleaning and upkeep tasks to lab personnel.

• Plan for equipment calibration and ensure all equipment are within acceptable calibration range.

• Responsible to daily operation of laboratory and its technical aspect

• Conduct systematic troubleshoot upon receiving customers\xe2\x80\x99 complaints and plan corrective actions.

• Cooperate with Business Development Departments in handling customer\'s need & enquiries, after sales services, and complaints.

• Responsible to plan, execute, control and record laboratory improvement program.

• Responsible for technical issue in the laboratory including method modification and development, quality control and calibration.

• Supervise and receive report from Senior Chemist and Chemist regarding daily operation of laboratory.

• Plan work schedule for laboratory staff.

• Design appropriate training program for laboratory staff.

• Plan, execute and monitor internal and external PT program for laboratory.

• Arrange & Coordinate training for Branches Lab Staff.

• Communicate with Branches to supply consumables and other material to Branch Labs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Bachelor, Master or Doctorate in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry or equivalent.

• Minimum 5 years working experience in laboratory.

• Must also be able to direct their work so that the laboratory is operated smoothly.

• Previous supervisory experience in all disciplines of the laboratory as the Assistant Manager or similar position.

• Ability to work under a certain amount of stress and be able to handle a variety of demanding situations daily.

• Have the ability to exercise sound judgement when problems arise and recommend variable solutions.
