Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Coordinates translation, interpretation, and production projects assigned to internal and external resources
• Reviews and approves the translation, interpretation and production work completed by internal and external resources
• Provides translation and interpretation services, including other duties as assigned
• Supports digital media production and broadcast events on a needed basis. Manages ad hoc media projects, coordinates with internal and external stakeholders, and liaises with media providers for contracting and project management

Qualifications:

• Fluency in spoken and written English and Malay. Iban is preferred
• Bachelor\'s degree (preferably in linguistics, translation, media or a related field), with at least 3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in translation, interpretation and media
• Expertise in translation and skills in writing, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and syntax of written Malay and English
• Strong Malay and English interpretation skills; simultaneous interpretation experience is strongly preferred
• Keen ability to manage external vendors and deliver constructive feedback when developing creative content
• Proven skills in project management, time management, interpersonal communication, problem solving and the ability to work under pressure
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with operating systems and Microsoft Office with basic knowledge of graphic design, media production and language recording
• Ability to navigate through translation and business management tools, CAT tools, and web interfaces
