An exciting Regional Legal Counsel role for a leading pharmaceutical multinational company.

As this role is essential to the organization, it is vital candidate comes with a track record of delivery and proven experience. Among the many responsibilities are listed below:

• Providing legal advisory to key stakeholders from the commercial team and support on compliance matters.
• Responsible for global strategic and simplification projects including development of best practices and the development and implementation of a revised Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and Policy.
• Accountable for global intelligence gathering, case linking and intelligence support for enforcement actions.
• Provide authentication expertise and handle all fast-track authentication requests.
• Responsible for communications including the preparation of regular dashboard reports and other communications to senior stakeholders on the Anti-Counterfeiting (AC) program and its implementation.
• Provide support for Customs training and recordals.
• Provide support for AC team and appropriate initiatives.
• Responsible for education and training including the preparation of presentations on AC issues.
• Act as the AC point of contact and expert on the central database, developing a "best practices" guide to ensure consistency of use.
• Act as the AC point of contact on all AC E-commerce issues.
• Responsible for development and implementation of a strategy for tackling counterfeit products offered for sale online.
• Work with digital teams to establish ways of working.

The ideal Legal Counsel will be confident in leading from the front and be responsible for the growth of the company while possessing the below requirements;

• Law degree.
• Trade mark prosecution experience.
• Experience in handling anti-counterfeiting cases, including authentication processes.
• Experience working with customs and other government agencies.
• Experience with development of Customs training.
• Scientific background to assist in understanding legal enforcement and authentication.
• Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively under pressure.
