JOB DESCRIPTION LITIGATION & PROSECUTION Analyse and approve prosecution and civil files submitted by the branch for legal action. Review Summons, Charge Sheets for registration in Court. Conduct cases including attending trials for prosecution actions taken by the Board against employers and other individuals involved for various offenses under the Act especially offenses of employers failing to pay contributions within the prescribed period, failure to comply with official Board notices, failure to submit documents, and members who make withdrawals but do not use money for withdrawal purposes. Liaise with the Office of the Chief Prosecutor of Sarawak, the Insolvency Department (Sarawak) or any authorized party. Attend and handle prosecution action cases and civil cases (which are handled internally) at all level of courts for contested or non - contested matters. Conduct legal research. Provide legal opinion sought by internal and external parties. Provide legal advisory services to internal departments (contributions and non- contributions related matter). Ensure that every prosecution and civil action referred by the branch is managed in a proper and orderly manner. Review Court decisions that are not in favour of the Board as well as prepare relevant reports/submissions to be considered for Appeal to a higher level. Handle civil law disputes whether filed against the EPF Board or filed by the Board in the Magistrate/ Sessions/ High Court in Sarawak (contractual dispute). Handle cases related to nomination objections filed against the EPF. Managing and reviewing the progress of all litigations cases and liaising with Panel Solicitors. All ad-hoc tasks assigned and instructed by the Head of Section(s) or Head of Department from time to time. JOB REQUIREMENTS Malaysian citizen Age above 21 years old on the closing date of application Possess a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) (LLB) or equivalent LLB qualifications from any local or overseas higher learning institutions recognised by the Government of Malaysia Candidates with expertise and experience in the relevant job description set out herein, is an added advantage Good communication skills with excellent command of oral and writing in English and Bahasa Melayu Highly motivated and able to work under minimal supervision A team player and committed to work under tight deadline Obtain at least a credit in Malay Language and English including oral test at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or equivalent as recognized by the Government Digital savvy JOB STATUS Permanent All applications are strictly CONFIDENTIAL and only shortlisted candidates will be called in for interview.
