Responsibilities:
- To provide legal support services in the Company's legal matters for the smooth operation of the legal functions of the Company and its subsidiaries with emphasis on corporate matters.
- Assist the Legal Manager in handling legal matters related to claims and suits made against the Company, ensure compliance with statutory requirements and update on current legislation, liaise with external lawyers on company’s legal matters and etc.
- Review, draft and vet all legal documents to ensure a consistent approach and minimize legal risk.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and update on current legislation.
- Liaise with external lawyers, clients or other relevant government authorities on the company’s legal matters.
Requirements:
- Minimum Degree in Law or equivalent with relevant experience in legal firm or corporate sector with exposure in conveyancing matters, preferably 3 to 4 years experience.
- Good drafting skills (agreements, contracts, legal correspondences and etc.) would be an added advantage.
- Have good analytical skills.
- Possesses good knowledge in land law/Housing Development (Control and Licensing) Act and any other relevant Acts.
- Possesses good negotiation skills.
- Fair experience in litigation/court is an advantage but not compulsory.
- High sense of responsibility.
