An exciting Logistics Manager position has just been made available in one of the most renowned Electrical Manufacturing MNCs. The working location will be based in Port Klang. The suitable candidate shall be an experienced Supply Chain / Logistics / Freight Forwarding Talents from the Electrical Manufacturing industry executing the following responsibilities:

Roles & Responsibilities

• Leads the implementation of logistics category strategy, in conjunction with cross-functional stakeholders across the company.\
• Manage a team of freight forwarding and become the direct Point of Contact dealing with customs for all shipment matters.
• Works towards local logistic excellence and optimization plan that reduces cost and increases quality and process efficiency.
• Oversees daily shipping transactions to ensure all required processes are completed in a timely manner, including the processing of inbound supplier shipments and outbound international shipments.
• Liaise with the shipping department and ensure that the logistics team performs appropriate container bookings for the finished goods.
• Liaise with the purchasing team to ensure that imported materials are delivered on time to ensure healthy warehouse stock levels appropriate to the demand requirements.
• Maps non-conformity cases, identify general issues providing solutions by implementing improvement and registering processes.
• Sets strategic long and short-term departmental goals and evaluates outcomes such as environmental philosophy.

To succeed in the position, you will have the experience to be the direct person dealing with the customs for freight forwarding matters.

Experience Requirements:

• At least 5 years of total experience in Logistics / Freight Forwarding functions within the reputable and successful Electrical Manufacturing industry.
• Degree in Logistics / Business or equivalent.
• Proficient in SAP Systems (operations), and knowledge of enterprise information systems (ERP).
• Mandarin and English proficiency are preferred for business communication with mandarin-speaking clients.
• High integrity, respect for colleagues with an entrepreneurial spirit.
