To provide overall responsibility to ensure efficient use of all resources and machines assigned to the Machine Shop. Responsible to achieve all quality, cost and customer objectives and to ensure all quality programs, initiatives and commitments are maintained and enhance.
Requires proper planning, setup of machines and precise measurements. Need to ensure the work is carried out correctly, on time and in a safe manner.
Need to manage costs and expenses through process efficiencies. Person must sure the proper equipment is on hand and ready to meet production demands. Other job duties includes analyzing and adjusting work schedules, solve production problems, handle quality issues and manage customer interactions.
Have excellent communications (both written and oral) and strong leadership skills and the ability to work with customers, suppliers and employees across all levels of support departments. Must be able to plan training for subordinates and handle discipline challenges. Ensure operations align with company policies and procedures.
Have excellent hands-on knowledge in managing machine shop (CNC machines, tools and technologies). Good understanding of machine shop related composite materials, thorough understanding of machining processes, equipment technology, shop procedures and how to read
and understand technical drawings. * Have proven track record in CNC machine environment. Must have a degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 5 years experience in Machine shop leadership role. Candidate with Diploma can be considered if have more than 10 years experience.
