Job Description

Core responsibilities:

Coordinate and schedule maintenance:

Schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks, repairs, and projects to minimize disruption to guests.

Respond to requests:

Act quickly to address emergency issues like power outages and respond to guest and staff maintenance requests.

Supervise staff and vendors:

Oversee a team of maintenance technicians and janitors, and manage relationships with external contractors and vendors.

Conduct inspections:

Perform regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and safety systems (like HVAC, plumbing, and fire safety) to identify and address potential problems.

Manage budgets and records:

Assist with budget planning, track expenses, and maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities and work orders.

Ensure compliance:

Make sure the hotel complies with all safety, health, and building regulations.

Key skills and qualifications:

Technical knowledge:

Understanding of various building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.

Organizational skills:

Strong ability to schedule, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Leadership and communication:

Ability to lead a team, communicate effectively with staff, guests, and vendors, and problem-solve issues.

Safety focus:

Thorough knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to train staff on safety procedures.

Problem-solving:

Quick and effective decision-making skills to handle emergencies and resolve maintenance issues.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM1,900.00 per month
