Key Responsibilities

Public Relations

  • Work with Business and Support Units to develop and maintain a proactive media relations plan and activities
  • Build relationships with stakeholders, especially the media to advance the visibility and goals of the Banking Group and ensure the media have all the necessary facts and figures and brand stories and to write accurate and objective stories about the brand
  • Manage Media-related events and activities to raise and safeguard the reputation/publicity profile of the Group, such as media interviews, policy, procedures, enforcement and implementation for the Group (with the exception of Investor Relations), especially in relation to Branches and other Delivery Channels
  • Assist in managing all PR-related agencies
  • Prepare media materials, from spokesperson\xe2\x80\x99s briefing documents, speeches/talking points and media releases, FAQs to ensure all stakeholders are duly informed and equipped with the necessary information.
Public Communications via Branch and other Delivery Channels
  • Key liaison personnel for public/customer-related communications via Branches and other Delivery Channels
  • Key resource personnel for various regulatory requirements and compliance issues with regards to public communications, including Bank Negara Malaysia
  • Manage consistent key messaging and image at all branches by developing, implementing and enforcing a standard communication guideline. This includes ensuring compliance to various regulatory requirements including Bank Negara Malaysia.
Internal Communications
  • Plan and execute internal employee engagement and stakeholder engagement program
  • Delivering regular communications for all staff through a range of channels, ensuring ease of access to communications, clarity and consistency of messages
  • Briefing material \xe2\x80\x93 Owning, developing and managing calendars of key messages to ensure consistent, relevant and timely delivery of internal communication material and to avoid message conflicts. Drafting easy to understand briefing material.
  • Newsletters \xe2\x80\x93 Assisting and supporting the Editor of Nagamas and Banking Group Newsletter to ensure overall consistency of corporate messages, providing a lead in the development and relevance of staff newsletters.
  • E-Bulletin \xe2\x80\x93 Promoting use of e-bulletin for Hong Leong Bank news updates amongst staff. Gather news items and publish the bulletin.
  • Intranet \xe2\x80\x93 Liaising with the web team to continually develop Hong Leong Bank intranet as an effective internal communications tool and to ensure it meets the needs of its audience.
  • Staff Survey \xe2\x80\x93 Planning and executing the annual staff attitude survey. Review survey results and liaise with supervisor to develop and deliver appropriate action plans in order to deliver improvements in line with feedback.
Marketing Communications Strategic Support & Relationship Management
  • To provide Marketing Communications advisory services to Branches and other Delivery Channels, including marketing communications, public relations, and other attendant strategies, including but not limited to: Advertising, Promotions, Public Relations, Media Planning, Event Management, Premium Item Selection & Procurement, Creative Production / Service Engagement
  • Assist in Relationship Manager role to specified Group Business Division \xe2\x80\x93 i.e. Group Consumer Banking (GCB), liaising with the Head of PFS as well as relevant PFS Heads of Departments, for responsibilities under the purview of Group Corporate Affairs & PR.
