Summary New Product Introduction (NPI) Manager to lead our NPI team in successfully launching new products into the market. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Design for Manufacturing (DFM), project management, Bill of Materials (BOM) management, routing, cost roll-up, and have a proven track record in overseeing successful new product launches. The NPI Manager will play a crucial role in coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring the seamless transition of products to production.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following

  • Manage and motivate a team of NPI engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, ensuring timely delivery of new products within budget constraints. Ensure product introduction at required quality and cost levels.
  • Work together with project requestor / business development team to review and understand customer requirements, ensuring alignment with product design and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Lead the end-to-end process of launching new products, from design validation to mass production.
  • Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to optimize product design for efficient and cost-effective production.
  • Oversee the creation, revision, and management of product drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including R&D, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain, to ensure seamless integration of new products into the production pipeline.
  • Maintain lifecycle management product status (e.g., Pre-Pilot, Pilot, Production, EOL)
  • Develop and implement robust processes for new product validation to ensure product quality and capability meet or exceed specifications.
  • Ensure all sample requests are produced & delivered on time and within specification
  • Work with cross functional team (process / automation / quality / maintenance / IE) to optimize process and ensure the product & process requirements are achieved and sustained.
  • Execute product & process continuous improvement projects.
  • Identify potential risks and proactively develop strategies to mitigate challenges during the NPI process.
  • Other duties may be assigned by the manager when required.

Qualifications
  • Knowledge of RFID Field will be an advantage.
  • Able to use Ms. Project / Gant Chart for project scheduling & control.
  • Oracle & Agile user knowledge is an advantage.
  • Must have good attitude & enthusiasm for Product and/ or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Skill in production/manufacturing equipment and processes.

Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or higher in Engineering (Electrical / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent)
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001: 2015, and OSHA regulations.
  • Minimum 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Product Development /NPI and/ or Manufacturing Engineering role.

Language Skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English language verbally and in writing.

Computer Skills
  • Proficient in Auto CAD
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.
  • Able to use Minitab Program will be an advantage.
