Job Purpose

Manage the continuous supply of adequate and competent talent within the organization to execute short- and long-term business strategies through sound and effective Talent Management practices, procedures, and policies within a high performing culture.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize the Talent Management strategies (short, medium, and long term) and initiatives to achieve positive results in managing and maximizing human capital contribution in supporting the business strategies and goals.
  • Build a data driven and future proof talent management process.
  • Build, implement, and measure development plans to establish internal talent pipeline with Sime Darby Property's business objectives and future workforce requirements.
  • Manage the implementation and standardization of all Talent Management practices and initiatives to ensure consistency in application and measures adopted.
Job Responsibilities (Con't)
  • Monitor risks and craft solutions to address risks that could arise from any areas that is addressed under Talent Management.
  • Manage the development efforts across SDP, working collaboratively with HRBPs and HODs to ensure relevant and impactful development interventions for talents across the organization.
  • Participate in selection of Yayasan Sime Darby scholarship recipients for SDP to ensure seeding of talent at the graduate level.
  • Build internal capability within HR in areas of expertise, and to replicate specific capabilities to line management where relevant.
Job Responsibilities (Con't)
  • Oversee management of vendor/ consultants to ensure deliverables and service provided remains relevant to the needs of the business.
  • Manage Annual Operating Plan (budgeting) for all Talent Management initiatives and optimize investments throughout the budget year.
  • Liaise with relevant government authorities on talent initiatives.
  • Act as Secretariat to Talent Council.

Education/Professional Qualification

Degree in Human Resources or any relevant field.

Professional Experience
  • Exposure in different HR functions specifically in Talent Management.
  • Able to formulate frameworks and operational implementation plans.
  • Experience in public presentation/ management or Board presentation is a plus.

  • The Group and BU/OU/Support Department governance structure and process;
  • BU/OU/Support Department operating parameters;
  • Laws, rules and regulations impacting BU/OU/Support Department area of operations;
  • The Group's principles and requirements of the Group's Code of Business Conduct ("COBC"), Group Policies and Authorities ("GPA") and related policies and procedures.
  • The basic application of risk management in the BU/OU/Support Department area of operations;
