Job Description


: Pricing Strategy & Planning Develop and execute a comprehensive product pricing strategy for B2C & B2B portfolio, aligning with the overall company objectives and market demands. Contributes to defining the pricing framework, standards and guidelines; including the pricing approval process, types of decisions to be made, frequency, and supporting analysis required. Subject matter expert for Pricing Framework in PLMM for the definition of optimal price corridors for each product tiers for all key categories along the pricing value chain. Revenue optimization via assessment of products, marketing, channels and commercial aspects to meet organizational strategy, channel harmonization with competitive benchmarking. To maximize volume and profitability mix. Subject matter expert for pricing guideline framework that encapsulates matrix of product x price x channel x geographical territory based on corporate strategic analysis, demand analysis, frequency of purchase, order volumes, current & intended discount policies and competitive benchmarking. Supports Country Marketing teams in design of commercial offers for key tenders, through pricing strategies, coaching, business cases and fact based decision making. 2. Price Modeling and Optimization Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and opportunities for product enhancement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including PLI NPI & Revenue Team, PLI APAC marketing, and internal marketing team (Brands, Trade Marketing & Revenue) to drive the development of new lubricant products from concept to launch. Define product requirements, specifications, and quality standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and customer expectations. Work with Brands & Comms team to develop USPs, marketing collateral and support materials for new product launches. 3. Pricing Governance and Compliance: Establish and maintain pricing governance processes, ensuring adherence to pricing policies, procedures, and compliance regulations. Monitor price compliance across sales channels and geographies, taking corrective actions when necessary. Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure pricing practices comply with relevant laws and regulations. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop effective product positioning, marketing campaigns, and promotional activities. 4. Channel-Strategic Planning Work with Head of Trade Marketing (B2B) to define trade marketing strategy for specific assigned trade sector in B2B business, in line with B2B business objective and strategy. With thorough understanding of customer needs in assigned trade sector, profiling through formal research or informal survey, formulate plans for the assigned sector to address issues and identify opportunities for sales according to business and trade marketing objectives. Drive the trade marketing plan implementation and review in timely manner. 5. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, and product teams to develop and implement pricing strategies aligned with business objectives. Provide pricing guidance and support to sales teams, assisting in pricing negotiations and deal structuring. Work closely with product management to align pricing with product lifecycle strategies and market positioning. Job Requirements: Bachelor\'s Degree required; MBA or master\'s degree in Business Administration, Marketing field, Statistics & Economics preferred. Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in category & product management, customer/trade marketing, statistics, marketing & sales analytics in consumer goods industry within multi-cultural/ multinational environments Minimum 4+ years of specific pricing related experience required; experience in a commercial environment is considered a plus Excellent planning and project management skills. Possess syndicated data experience.; with strong Excel and data manipulation skills Strong analytical and data management skills and experience in statistical and advanced pricing techniques e.g. price elasticity and conjoint analysis Excellent analytical and problem solving skills Keen business acumen and ownership Strong understanding of marketing strategy, planning issues, budgeting, priority setting is appreciated. Fluent in English. Other languages is a plus. Brand Management of a Global/ Regional Brand, in a regional capacity or have experience working with regional team. Exposure and or experience working in a multicultural environment. Have managed staff before. Strong PC skills especially in Excel and Power Point.
