Coordinate, plan, and supervise Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical systems, ICT, and ELV systems.
Review M&E drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure compliance with architectural and structural requirements.
Monitor project progress and ensure M&E works are carried out according to schedule, budget, and quality standards.
Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues related to M&E installations.
Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure proper coordination between M&E services and other building trades.
Ensure all M&E works comply with local authorities' regulations (e.g., Suruhanjaya Tenaga, DOSH, BOMBA, JKR, CIDB).
Attend site meetings, prepare reports, and provide technical input on project execution.
Verify material specifications, shop drawings, and method statements prior to execution.
Coordinate testing, commissioning, and handover of M&E systems.
Support the Project Manager in resolving design discrepancies, construction challenges, and client requirements.
Requirements
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, or related engineering field.
Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in M&E coordination within the construction industry (residential, commercial, or high-rise projects preferred).
Strong knowledge of building services, electrical and mechanical systems, and Malaysian building regulations.
Familiar with AutoCAD, BIM/Revit (added advantage), and Microsoft Office applications.
Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with consultants, contractors, and clients.
Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
CIDB green card / relevant certifications are an added advantage.
