A global market leader in providing chemical products is looking for a Mechanical Manager, Rotating Equipment. In this job, you will ensure the reliability of major rotating equipment in the plant.

About the Mechanical Manager, Rotating Equipment Role:
In this Mechanical Manager, Rotating Equipment role, you will be using your knowledge in vibration of rotating equipment shaft to perform diagnosis on the vibration of rotating equipment using the appropriate method. Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will be working closely with site mechanical engineers, providing them training on monitoring the condition of rotating equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide training to site mechanical engineers on condition-based monitoring of rotating equipment
• Monitor rotating equipment parameters during a start-up and steady state
• Analyse conditioned based maintenance data to predict failure, and provide recommendations to improve rotating equipment health
• Attend to site emergencies, providing technical trouble shooting support and perform root cause analysis
• Initiate and lead equipment health monitoring and improvement programs, collaborating with the remote-control centre
• Specify Condition-based Maintenance requirements for rotating equipment in new plants and in improvement projects
• Work with vibration monitoring service providers, agree on the technical scope of work and stage gate inspection to ensure quality

To succeed in the Mechanical Manager, Rotating Equipment role, you will need to have a solid background in the maintenance of plant rotating equipment and experience in performing condition-based maintenance.

Key Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field of study
• At least eight years of experience in diagnosis and maintenance of rotating equipment such as centrifugal compressors and pumps in a large continuous process plant
• Familiar with various vibration monitoring systems and their implementation
• An experienced user of root cause analysis
• Able to perform risk assessment and make an informed decision
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Excellent problem solving and project management skills
• High accountability and ownership to drive closure of action items
• Able to lead changes, a self-starter and able to inspire others
• Highly organised, process driven and analytical in problem solving
• Has a positive approach, self-motivated, a team player and possesses a high level of integrity
