About the role We are seeking a Regional People Operations Specialist (Payroll) who will partner closely with Manager, People Operations in driving payroll processing for Doctor Anywhere in Malaysia, Thailand & Indonesia.
You will have an eye for detail and unwavering commitment to improve and streamline processes with the aim of enhancing our employee experience. You will be part of our People & Culture Team, managing payroll, people operations and providing HR support for our managers and employees.
The ideal candidate will have a mindset of continuous improvement and change and will demonstrate curiosity, collaboration and the ability to deal with ambiguity, especially in a start-up environment. You are passionate about providing excellent internal client support across the entire organization.
A summary of the key responsibilities are as follows

• Providing hands-on and operational support in regional payroll matters.
• Collecting and verifying employee timekeeping records, calculating wages, salaries, deductions, and adjustments, and ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
• Staying up to date with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance. This includes tax withholding, reporting, and filing requirements.
• Conducting regular audits and reconciliations of payroll records, tax filings, and other related documents to ensure accuracy.
• Responding to employee inquiries related to payroll, taxes, and deductions and providing excellent customer service.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing best practices.
• Initiating & executing any People Operations and Workplace Experience projects in the regional level

About you

• At least 1 year of payroll experience, with experience in processing payroll APAC countries is strongly preferred. Fresh graduate is welcome to apply.
• Ability to deliver results with little supervision in a start-up, hyper-growth environment with the capacity to effectively manage multiple payroll simultaneously.
• Proficient knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Unquestioned integrity and confidentiality.
• A start-up attitude - you take full ownership of things that you do, willing to go out of your comfort zones and take on new challenges.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and flexible to learn new things - we\xe2\x80\x99re not done growing, and heading into uncharted territories is part of the fun!
