Safety & Environmental Technician (based in Senai, Johor)The primary role and responsibility of a safety and environment technician is to assist in maintaining the safety and environmental management system of the plant to meet all local and governmental regulatory requirements and Hershey\'s quality and regulatory compliance standards. This work will require specialized knowledge in Occupational Health and Safety as well as in Environmental Quality Act and must be accomplished with a high degree of competency and safety consciousness. The person will display the Hershey Values of customer service, team work, and cooperation with all team members, and support personnelMajor Duties/Responsibilities:Summary of major duties:

• Demonstrate an understanding of OSH regulations and applicable industry environmental and safety standards.
• Assist Safety, Health & Environmental Manager to collect, analyze and maintain statistics on accidents, occupational poisonings and diseases, which occurred at the plant.
• Assist in managing emergency response team and its facilities in accordance with the regulations.
• Conduct workplace inspection and able to work with respective area owners to come out with solution to solve the unsafe act or unsafe conditions observed.
• Conduct incident investigation and generate incident report with minimal guidance
• Assist in managing the safety and health committee and ensure the committee is active.
• Assist in any safety & environmental programs and its execution
• Maintain safety records as required.
• To conduct training and provide guidelines to the workers on safety related matters.
• Able to participate/lead/ drive any committees that have in THC.

• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as may be assigned by Supervisor.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:Education:At a minimum, must hold a Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical/Environment/Chemical engineering / Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent.Experience:Minimum 1-3 years of experience in safety and environment or related experience.
