Job Description

Non-Trade Procurement Intern

Verify and convert Purchase Request (PR) created by Requestor in SAP to Purchase Order (PO) within 1 working day; manage, review, update and maintain PO until they are closed

Review, verify and convert Blanket Purchase Order (BPO) Request sent by Requestor into Blanket Purchase Order (BPO) form in SAP

Ensure Approvers approve POs in SAP and Requestors perform receiving in SAP promptly

Liaise with existing vendors and source for new vendors to secure best prices (without compromising on quality and delivery time) for non-trade related items

Understand Requestor's product and service needs and source and negotiate

Ensure all purchasing activities are in accordance with company's policy, procedures, and compliance with internal control standards

Continuously educate Requestor on Procurement flow and policies

Identify cost-saving opportunities for the Company

Requirements:

Fluent in English (verbal and written communication) is a must

Detail oriented, high sense of urgency (follow-up skills), rapport-building skills
