Long Description

  • Develop and implement an operational excellence strategy aligned with the company\'s objectives, ensuring a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify operational challenges, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities across all aspects of the organization.
  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement process improvements, utilizing methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, DMAIC, Kaizen, and other relevant tools.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process performance and monitor progress towards operational excellence goals.
  • Conduct data analysis and process mapping to identify root causes of inefficiencies, defects, and non-compliance, and develop data-driven solutions.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to promote a culture of operational excellence and provide employees with the necessary tools and skills for process improvement.
  • Drive the implementation of best practices and standardization across departments and functions, ensuring consistent and efficient processes.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulations, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for operational improvement and innovation.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to drive process improvements and enhance the overall supply chain efficiency.
  • Lead and mentor a team of operational excellence professionals, providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure their professional growth and development.
Short Description

As the Manager of Operational Excellence, you will be responsible for leading and implementing operational excellence initiatives to optimize processes, enhance efficiency, and improve overall performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and engineering, to identify areas for improvement, develop and execute improvement plans, and ensure sustainable results. This role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of operational excellence methodologies within a regulated industry.

Experience and Education

1. Bachelor\'s degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MS) is a plus.
2. Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in operational excellence, process improvement, or related roles within the medical device or regulated industries.
3. Strong knowledge and application of Lean Six Sigma methodologies, DMAIC, Kaizen, and other process improvement tools and techniques.
4. Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing operational excellence initiatives, delivering measurable results, and driving cultural change.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex operational challenges.
6. Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet deadlines.
7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
8. Experience working in a regulated environment, with a good understanding of quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards (e.g., FDA, ISO).
9. Previous experience in the medical device industry is highly desirable.
10. Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt, Black Belt) or similar operational excellence certifications is preferred.
