The Role Responsibilities Job Role The Operational Risk Manager is a permanent role that requires business acumen and appropriate knowledge and experience in the Operational Risk field. The Operational Risk Governance and MI team will effectively be driving Operational Policy and Standards, Policy Assurance, Regulatory Compliance, Reporting and Management Information for all countries in the region. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of operating in a second line capacity within an operational risk organisation, and can respond flexibly and collaboratively to evolving business, regulatory and threat requirements. The role reports directly to the CCRO and Head of Operational Risk, Malaysia. This role will work closely with the 2nd Line Operational Risk teams in Asia and other stakeholders to such as Group Operational Risk teams on all OR related governance and MI activities. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that operational risk policy and standards, regulatory compliance and reporting are appropriately carried out. The role will support the Country OR teams in the region for Operational Risk management. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Operational Risk and Operational Risk Officers, as well as other key stakeholders to drive requirements to ensure regulatory compliance and provide insightful OR management information. Processes The major functional activities that this role will lead and manage are Policy and Standards Develop and maintain Policy and Standards. Monitor regulatory, internal, and external environment and notify Country Risk Framework Owner on a timely basis. Ensure local regulatory requirements are factored in the local OR policies and procedures. Create Country Addendum to support the Group Policy and Standards. Seek Dispensation or Risk Acceptance from Global Risk Framework Owner. Continuously monitor Top Risks against risk appetite thresholds, ensuring prioritisation of escalation and mitigation of potential risk appetite breaches. Ensure adherence to ERMF and Policy owner responsibilities. Regulatory Compliance. Reporting and Management Information. Continuously enhance the MI design. Provide regular Operational Risk reporting and management information to aid decision making and support. Operational Loss and Risk Reporting. People and Talent Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from team and work in collaboration with Country Operational Risk teams. Risk Management Establish strong ties into the relevant OR governance, risk and control committees to ensure adequate reporting of Operational Risk. Drive integration of operational risk reporting and associated Policy / Standards. Regulatory and Business Conduct Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group\'s Values and Code of Conduct. Utilise appropriate risk management tool(s) to manage and report operational risks across the functions.
