Work closely with Logistics Service Providers (LSP) to ensure prompt and accurate shipments and deliveries and receive delivery status and inventory reports from warehouses within the region.
Collect, interpret, and analyze various logistics data, such as customer order history, fulfillment metrics, shipping lead time and cost, inventory holding, 3PL warehouse performance, and more.
Review logistics and delivery processes and procedures to identify and implement improvements that enhance delivery efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Collaborate with other departments to address inventory issues, including back orders and fulfillment metrics.
Resolve any discrepancies, errors, and issues with suppliers, customers, and LSP companies.
Maintain a robust record system for easy retrieval of past and current shipping and order activities.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 7-10 years of experience and a strong background in Supply Chain Management, encompassing expertise in planning, operations management, and process/systems improvement. They should also have exposure to Shipping and Logistics handling and be familiar with international trade requirements.
Additionally, the candidate should possess knowledge of 3PL/4PL service providers and be well-versed in various payment methods for importing goods, such as letters of credit (LC), documentary collections (documents against payment (DP) or documents against acceptance (DA) terms), and advance payment (AP) terms.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as the candidate will be required to interact with individuals at different organizational levels. They should be detail-oriented, self-driven, and adaptable to change.
The candidate should have a creative problem-solving ability and actively contribute innovative ideas to address operational issues.
Proficiency in budget development and oversight is crucial for effective management.
