We are looking for a creative, skilled, and detail-oriented
Pastry Chef
to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods that align with our brand standards.
You will support the daily operations of the pastry section, ensuring consistency, precision, and excellence across all items prepared. From doughs and cakes to plated desserts and cafe-style pastries, you will play a key role in delivering memorable guest experiences through craftsmanship and creativity. This role requires strong technical skills, a passion for pastry arts, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining our high quality standards.
Core Responsibilities
Lead daily pastry kitchen operations and ensure a smooth workflow across all pastry stations.
Ensure all gelato & desserts for central production and outlets are prepared according to brand recipes standards.
Maintain consistency in flavor, texture, finishing, and presentation for all pastry menu items.
Execute techniques including preparation, assembly and decorative finishing/packaging is as per standard.
Conduct quality checks on all dessert items to ensure premium dining standards.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients.
Manage ordering of pastry supplies and support cost control through portioning and waste reduction.
Maintain strict hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety practices within the pastry kitchen.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment functionality and kitchen organization.
Responsible for building and mentoring a team of outlet chefs, ensuring consistent execution and skill development across all locations.
In-charge of formulation, production, transportation to outlets, storage, and plating to maintain quality standards.
Job Specifications
A diploma or degree in Pastry or Culinary Arts (preferred but not required).
2-3 years experience
in establishing and leading a pastry kitchen; prior experience as a hotel pastry manager is an advantage.
Experience in R&D, creating & setting ops for execution of desserts is a necessity.
Strong focus on operational excellence, innovation, and maintaining high standards of taste, presentation, and efficiency.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Passion for creating great food and delivering exceptional service.
Knowledge of safety and hygiene best practices, with excellent multitasking and organizational abilities.
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs.
Able to take on tasks as assigned by the senior management.
Job requires a high level of dedication including out of the box thinking and extended working hours if necessary.
Key Deliverables:
Create brand specific desserts that has a brand story & wow our guests.
Innovate and design seasonal menus that reflect trends and tastes.
Lead, train, and inspire the dessert team to deliver perfection every time.
Manage inventory, control costs, and minimize waste.
Ensure the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and quality.
Work closely with branding & design team, Front of the house, other kitchen departments and other stakeholders such as maintenance team, HR and finance teams.
