Job Description


A Pharmaceutical Engineer position purpose is to setup, verify, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot critical pharmaceutical machinery and production equipment for the pharmaceutical process.
These includes the machinery and equipment for the upstream process e.g., FBD, compression, blender for the processes of dispensing, granulation, coating and tableting; and downstream process for packaging e.g., high-speed Blister lines and automated cartoners.

Responsibilities:

  • To setup, verify, operate, monitor and troubleshoot the critical pharmaceutical machinery and production equipment including Blister packing line machinery and auto-cartoners to produce maximum production output with focus on quality.
  • To be responsible for schedule preventive maintenance to ensure non-disruption and zero-breakdown of the machinery and equipment.
  • To be accountable for the overall machinery, change parts and inventory cost.
  • To be in-charge of the process that uses the high- speed blister packaging lister lines to ensure proper skills for the machine specialists manning the primary line, machine performance for optimum productivity, quality and ensure zero breakdowns for both primary & secondary packaging lines.
  • To prepare reports and remedial action on machinery performance including on a daily basis on achievements, limitations or challenges.
  • Manage and maintain machines according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)as per Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) policies.
  • Minimize unscheduled downtime to achieve output target and desired qualitative products.
  • Resolve issues quickly to enhance machine efficiency.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Engineering Diploma/Degree or equivalent with at least 3-5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Pharmaceutical Engineering, especially in engineering of blister packing machinery
  • Those with experience in pharmaceutical machinery in Hoong-A 400 or 600R or similar is preferred.
  • Must possess GMP knowledge and excellent technical skills that will be utilize in Blister & Cartoning machines operation.
  • Strong mechanical, technical skills and troubleshooting experience is the key for this role.
  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills. Good command in English (both written & verbal).
  • Possess a well-honed ability to maintain and maximize machine efficiency.
  • Knowledge on the Blister line operations and machine excellence.
  • Ability to create pharma machinery SOP, to conduct training for internal employees and to develop or update training materials based on training needs.
