An exciting Planning and Logistics Manager job has just become available at one of the leading food manufacturing plants to be based in Perak. This is a role for a talent who is a leader in their field.

About the Planning and Logistics Role:
As the Planning and Logistics Manager, you will be the primary interface with the supply chain organisation. You will take up the full accountability to schedule and deliver the plan and own end-to-end key business processes. You will have the direct responsibility for right service levels and inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver excellent results within the area through engaged leadership and coaching. Drive a culture of engagement and develops capabilities
• Build an excellent and effective team
• Deliver the long-term vision for the area and establish the right plan to reach it
• Define priorities for the area and delivers projects resourced appropriately against critical business needs
• Collaborate with the leadership teams to drive overall performance of the site, such as planning, labour management/efficiency and production
• Support the production teams to continuously improve the use of resources (including materials, tools, labour, equipment) to meet production schedules, customer demand and standards
• Manage planning and control schedules and material requirements for a controlled flow of approved materials which ensure an uninterrupted production of goods
• Research, evaluate and recommend changes to production processes, systems, technology or equipment to enhance organisation production capabilities
• Deliver key initiatives (operational projects) to both internal and external customers per the demand plan with targeted quality/time/cost following initiative management processes
• Own a clear operating strategy for the plant by defining maximum flexibility, balancing service, inventory and cost. Define the required improvement steps, to optimise these results
• Ensure master data is aligned to business needs
• Update relevant information, tracking and reporting systems

To succeed in this role, you will need to have extensive experience in food manufacturing industry or fast-moving consumer goods. In addition, you need to have the ability to work in a high-paced, dynamic environment, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and ensure task completion timely.

Key Requirements:

• University degree (bachelor\'s) or higher in management or other related field
• Five or more years\' experience in an operations, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing environment (preferably in fast-moving consumer goods)
• Three or more years in a leadership role with a strong focus on developing teams
• Supply chain management
• Extensive MS Office, Power BI, Macros in Excel
• International and/or cross-functional exposure and collaboration
