Job Description

The PMO will provide governance and oversight of the CIB - Cash Discretionary and Regulatory portfolio

  • Strive to standardize our processes and output, enforcing compliance to PMO standards and introduce economies of repetition
  • Act as the champion of project management best practise
  • Curate the documentation generated by the projects under management
  • Support the successful delivery of projects through effective facilitation, tracking and reporting
The PMO role is key to the success of the program and critical in ensuring a well governed, proactively well organised and managed program. While scale, scope and complexity of projects may vary, the responsibilities are required to be delivere under tight deadlines, across multiple geographic locations, with demanding stakeholders and under strict financial scrutiny.

The ideal candidate is familiar with project controls, administration and toolsets across project delivery life cycle. He/she is "critical thinker", actively demonstrating their analytical skills, ingenuity, initiative and sound judgment when it comes to supporting the Program Managers in all aspects of the project delivery. They will be well organised with a structured approach to problem solving, organising and communicating to stakeholders.

Strategy
  • Provide information to management by assembling and summarizing data; preparing reports; making presentations of findings and analysis and make recommendations
  • Track and improve financial status by analyzing results and monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions
Business
  • Coordinates the agenda for the recurring Refinement Forum meetings, and works with the chairs and presenters to procure, standardise and agree the content submitted
  • Prepare governance forum MOM & ensure traction of action items on a regular basis and track till closure
  • Produce portfolio reporting on the program and workstream status as supporting materials for the regular Working group
Processes
  • Ensure Clarity and the project documentation are updated on a regular basis by self, Tribe Lead, Product Owners, Scrum Masters and Project Managers, review content periodically and alert to data quality issues driven to closure
  • Act as conduit amongst Product Owners / Tribe Lead / Scrum Masters and Project Managers with the PMO, Technology Finance and the Governance & Business Management teams on all aspects of Program governance and administration
People and Talent
  • Perform resource management tasks in Clarity e.g. administer time booking, task allocation to resources
  • Maintains resources allocation, including prioritisation and resource management with alignment to JIRA backlog
Risk Management
  • Active monitoring of the risks / issues raised for the initiatives under the Book of Work and ensure proper mitigation actions are in place and tracked to closure.
Governance
  • Curate and ensure project documentation completeness and alignment to SDF, nWOWS and Change Governance Policy.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
