We\'re looking for a highly motivated and experienced Policy and Governance Specialist to join our team at airasia Grocer.

airasia Grocer was recently established to connect farmers directly to businesses, leveraging on airasia\'s network of air and land logistics capabilities to reduce the gap between farmers and businesses. Today airasia Grocer has grown to be a trusted food supply partner for importers, distributors, supermarket chains, hotels, restaurants, central kitchens and NGOs.

Key Responsibilities :

Collaborate in cultivating partnerships with food suppliers and farmers, fostering the creation of globally compliant products tailored for the international market.

Support the oversight of export logistics and customs clearance operations, ensuring seamless processes for international market distribution.

Foster close working relationships with diverse governmental bodies such as Matrade, MAFS, DagangNet, MAQIS, and other pivotal import/export authorities. Facilitate the smooth flow of food produce across international borders.

Compile and operationalize streamlined procedures, consolidating export mandates from multiple stakeholders into a comprehensive internal process manual. This resource also serves as a valuable reference for our suppliers.

Drive the expansion of our export endeavors to East Malaysia, comprehending and implementing specialized outbound/export protocols specifically tailored to the distinct requirements of Sabah and Sarawak state governments.

Take the lead in orchestrating the acquisition of pertinent documentation, certifications, licenses, and prerequisites necessary to facilitate the growth, expansion, and operation of the business, guided by management directives.

Requirements :

Expert knowledge of distribution operations in International trade or agriculture economics, particularly related to import/export, customs duties and Tax Management.

High level of understanding of customs regulations and strong ability to find and extract local regulations, interpret, synthesize and communicate findings.

Ability to manage and work under pressure, reacting appropriately in a constantly changing environment whilst working closely with the business environment.

Ability and experience to communicate with authorities domestically and internationally.Experience in applying customs trade regulations to the international movement of goods in different types of industries.
