The Process Engineer is a member of the Process Engineering and Flow Assurance Team within Reliability & Engineering and positively contributes towards value-adding analysis, delivery of activities, studies, troubleshooting and the management of threats and opportunities by fully using your engineering knowledge within an integrated team including the scoping of work packages, development of cost time resource estimates, prioritization, reporting, etc.

You will play a significant role in HSSE by ensuring the Technology and Engineering elements of Process Engineering are accounted for in the various processes used to ensure safety and integrity of our Assets. You will capitalise on your technical knowledge, experience, Asset Management processes and integration skills to enable the SMEP objectives. You will generate value and protect the Asset (balancing out increased production while weighing out risks). You will be aware of the facility\xe2\x80\x99s capacity and limitations, and by contributing to the Natural Team, you will enable the success of the Natural Team and thus SMEP.

What\xe2\x80\x99s the role?

Expected activities and technical solutions will include: -

• Trouble shooting of Dehydration, Compression, Produced Water and Utilities Systems.
• Process Engineering design for new and modified production systems (e.g. P&IDs\xe2\x80\x99, PFDs\xe2\x80\x99, Process Safeguarding Memorandum, Cause and Effects Definition, Instrumented Functions including Control Narratives, Process Calculations, Process Datasheets, Development of Operating Procedures, Development of First Hydrocarbon/Commissioning Procedures).
• Internal and external multi-discipline engineering reviews, including; HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, SIL.
• Act as Contract Holder (as required) with external suppliers for Process Engineering service provision.
• Role model the leadership attributes (Authenticity, Growth, Collaboration, Performance).
• Interface effectively and integrate the disciplines involved in Process to provide a system wide approach to all activities.

Role requirement

General:

• Expertise in understanding of existing Brownfield developments from a Process Engineering point of view.

• Provides leadership in Process Engineering and Process Safety advise to the Project stakeholders within the organization.
• Work\xe2\x80\x99s in accordance with Project priorities, responsible for the technical quality of Process Engineering deliverables.

Experience requirements:

10 yrs+ experience in the E&P industry, including:

• Proven knowledge of Shell Process Engineering guidelines and standards,
• Proven knowledge of gas, condensate, oil and utility processes,
• Proven commitment to delivering results within time and budget with a service-oriented focus,
• Knowledge and interaction with production operations, project engineering and subsurface disciplines,
• Strong analytical abilities and practical approach,

Good interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.

• Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills
• Customer focus and ability to work in a virtual environment/remote support to customers.
• Skill in Excel, Access and Power BI
