Candidate with a Diploma in supply chain / logistics management preferred
At least 2 years of work experience in supply chain management (procurement or logistics)
Good working knowledge of logistics and procurement operations
Familiar with import and export logistics handling and customs clearance requirements
Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills to liaise effectively with customers, suppliers and regulatory authorities
Dynamic, energetic and a team player who is able to work with cross-functional teams
Pro-active multi-tasker with strong planning ability and able to work independently

Procurement/Purchasing
Perform qualification and evaluation of new suppliers, manage suppliers and perform regular supplier assessments, and maintain up-to-date suppliers list
Prepare or update price comparison lists based on trade of work / type of material / project-specific requirements
Make recommendations to relevant departments for suitable suppliers
Sourcing and purchasing locally and overseas for all purchasing needs of the company, including office supplies and factory equipment, production raw materials and parts, etc.
Responsible to follow through the end-to-end operational procurement process from placing orders, issuing and following up on Purchase Order delivery and shipment schedules
Prepare and compile purchasing documents and obtain relevant approvals
Maintain proper documentation and records, such as quotations, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, delivery orders, invoices, etc.
Actively follow up with site personnel to ensure that all Delivery Orders are returned timely for matching and filing
Coordinate with inventory department to determine and manage inventory needs
Update manager or relevant site personnel on any material shortages, delivery time frame, manufacturer products processing time frame, etc. to avoid possible delays
Carry out emergency procurement sourcing, purchase and delivery management when the need arises due to urgent or unforeseen operational requirements or events
Assist in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of procurement systems and processes
Logistics
Source for freight forwarders, compare and negotiate transportation rates or services
Liaise and coordinate with transporter, forwarder, shipping liner, haulage and regulatory authorities for timely clearance of shipments and close monitoring of container movements to port, warehouse, customer\'s premise & project sites for both local & overseas shipments
Prepare and compile shipping documents and obtain relevant approvals
Maintain proper documentation and records, such as commercial invoices, packing lists, insurance certificates, Certificate of Origin, import/export permits, bills of lading, etc.
Coordinate with freight forwarders and shipping agents for customs clearance processes
Ensure compliance with import/export/customs regulations, packaging requirements and any other legal requirements
Assist to process billings, actively follow up on payment collection from customers, other outstanding crediting matters and ensure sales closing within time frame
