About the role Kerry Penang is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Assistant to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, sourcing supplies, compiling production data, and ensuring compliance with safety and halal standards. This position is crucial for maintaining the smooth operation of our production lines and requires a dynamic, analytical individual who thrives in a fast-paced work environment. Key responsibilities Monitor and maintain sufficient inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted production. Research and identify optimal suppliers and negotiate to secure the best prices and quality. Compile and analyze data necessary for production planning and efficiency improvements. Process and place orders for new inventory as required, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with specifications. Conduct regular audits of store inventory to confirm proper storage and adherence to safety protocols. Compile comprehensive reports from all production lines to aid in decision-making and strategic planning. Support and ensure compliance with Halal production standards and requirements. Qualifications and skills Degree or Diploma in Finance, Accountancy, Commerce, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a production or inventory management role within a manufacturing setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong computer skills. Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Analytical thinker with the ability to work independently and make decisive decisions. Strong leadership qualities, capable of executing tasks as directed and committed to high performance standards. Ability to thrive under pressure and in fast-paced environments. Proactive and self-starting with minimal supervision. Team-oriented, able to collaborate effectively to meet tight deadlines. Comfortable working in a rapidly changing and growing global environment where quality and timeliness are prioritized. Candidates must be eligible to work in Malaysia and willing to work in Butterworth, Penang.
