Oversee the day-to-day activities of the production line, including injection moulding and subsequent manual/automated assembly processes for automotive plastic parts.
Schedule Adherence:
Monitor and manage production flow to meet daily/weekly targets and ensure
On-Time Delivery (OTD)
to the customer (OEM/Tier 1 supplier).
Machine & Process Monitoring:
Regularly check and verify machine operating parameters, ensuring all processes (moulding and assembly) are running according to established control plans and work instructions.
Manpower & Resource Allocation:
Efficiently allocate manpower, materials, and machinery to maximize utilization and output.
II. Quality and Process Control
Quality Assurance:
Conduct in-process checks and final inspections to ensure all components meet the required dimensional and visual specifications.
Troubleshooting:
Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues related to
injection moulding defects
(e.g., flash, short shots, warpage) and assembly problems.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate production records, process sheets, daily output reports, and quality non-conformance reports.
Continuous Improvement (CI):
Actively participate in and drive CI initiatives like Lean Manufacturing or 5S to reduce scrap, improve cycle time, and enhance overall efficiency (OEE).
III. Team Leadership and Safety
Staff Supervision:
Train, mentor, and supervise production operators and technicians in correct operating procedures and safety protocols.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations on the floor.
Coordination:
Act as a key liaison between the production floor and other departments, including Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Tooling, and Planning/Logistics.
Education :
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in
Engineering
(Mechanical, Manufacturing, Polymer Technology, or a closely related technical field).
Assistant Level
: Fresh Graduate are welcome.
Experience: Executive level
Typically
2 to 3+ years
in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Direct, hands-on experience with
Plastic Injection Moulding
is essential, preferably in the
automotive parts
sector.
Industry Exposure:
Familiarity with the requirements and standards of the automotive industry, particularly
IATF 16949
(Quality Management System).
