Job Description


GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Responsible and Accountable for the core Programmes and Projects assigned to the Officer (Finance and Programmatic) including Hotline, Internship, DMS, social media, Youth/Advocacy and Fundraising. 2. Programme and Project Management - Plan, Organize, Coordinate, implement activities, Monitor and Report on the Programmes and Projects according to the Agreement, Timelines and Budget (Finance & Programmatic). SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Participate and coordinate with relevant FRHAM staff/volunteers in identifying the programmatic needs or SRH issues of target groups. 2. Conduct meetings with relevant FRHAM Staff or Volunteers/State MAs/NGOs/Government Agencies to discuss programmatic needs/SRH issues. 3. Participates in the process of writing and submission of project proposals to Funding Agencies/NGOs/Government Agencies/Private Corporations (Finance & Programmatic). 4. Follow up and conduct meetings/discussions with Funding Agencies /NGOs/Government Agencies/Private Corporations. 5. Coordinate with Funding Agencies/ NGOs/Government Agencies / Private Corporations upon approval of project proposals (agreements, activities, timelines, budgets, targets/statistics, reporting format and deadlines). 6. Coordinate with State MAs involved with the projects (agreements, activities, timelines, budgets, targets/statistics, reporting format and deadlines). 7. Plan, organize, coordinate and implement the activities according to the timelines and budget. 8. Responsible for assisting State MAs in developing appropriate plans and strategies to implement the activities and in reporting. 9. Organize and conduct training related to the programmes and projects. 10. Act as resource person/speaker during training sessions/seminars/workshops. 11. Participate and coordinates with relevant FRHAM staff to develop IEC and publicity materials/education/training modules related to the programmes and also in the setting up of exhibitions/ displays/booth at conventions /seminars/ workshops/conferences. 12. Conduct dialogues/discussions/meetings involving key stakeholders and relevant NGOs, Funding agencies and Government Agencies at National or State levels. 13. Monitor, evaluate and conduct supervisory visits to the projects sites / State MAs to ensure effective implementation of the project activities according to the timelines, budget and targets. 14. Report on the programmes & projects (financial and programmatic) according to the deadlines provided by Funding Agencies/ NGOs/Government Agencies/ Private Corporations and be responsible and accountable for any variances or queries on the reports (Finance or Programmatic) 15. Review and analyze programmes and projects of his/her area and update and report to his/her supervisor. 16. Be a secretary to any of FRHAM\xe2\x80\x99s Sub-Committee as assigned. 17. Perform any other related duties that may be assigned by the Head of Programmes and Projects and Executive Director. Required competencies 1. Computer literacy \xe2\x80\xa2 The ability to learn new systems quickly. \xe2\x80\xa2 Good IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE FOR THIS POSITION: 1. Diploma/Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Law, or Health from a recognized University. 2. Extensive knowledge or previous working experience in Sexual and Reproductive Health or experience working with NGOs or project management will be an advantage. 3. Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks. 4. The ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines. 5. An adventurous spirit and a willingness to try new things. 6. Able to follow organizational policies and procedures 7. Highly productive new grads are also encouraged to apply. 8. Willing to travel when required. 9. Fluency in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia. 10. At least five (5) years of experience in handling Projects and Programmes. 11. Able to start immediately.
