About the Role

You will plan and manage assigned projects end-to-end from preparing schedule, cost, quality, and safety, so each project is delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

Lead full project lifecycle: design review, fabrication, construction, commissioning, and handover. Develop and control project schedules (Gantt/MS Project), resources, and deliverables; track progress and variances. Monitor fabrication/site works against approved drawings/specifications, quality requirements, ISO standards, and safety regulations. Coordinate across engineering, procurement, vendors, and subcontractors; maintain clear, timely communication with all stakeholders. Prepare weekly/bi-weekly/monthly reports per client/project requirements; highlight progress, risks, and mitigations. Manage day-to-day site operations, tools/equipment readiness, and materials sufficiency to ensure smooth execution. Verify subcontractor progress and supplier invoices; support cost monitoring and progress claims. Provide technical support to clients and subcontractors; initiate corrective actions on engineering deliverables when needed. Support recruitment of general workers (permanent/contract) where required. Support ad-hoc project tasks and special assignments as required.

Qualifications & Skills

Diploma/Bachelor's in

Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering

or equivalent.

relevant experience (project engineering; planning & scheduling). Knowledge of construction safety regulations and procedures. Strong organisation, communication (English & Bahasa Malaysia), and stakeholder coordination skills. Problem-solving, accountability, leadership, and teamwork; proactive and independent.

Tools:

AutoCAD, MS Project, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Advantages:

ISO standards exposure; proficiency with

AutoCAD/SolidWorks

; simulation tools (

MATLAB/Simulink

). Willing to travel and work outstation across Peninsular Malaysia.
