Project Quantity Surveyor
A. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY
1. To implement all policies, activities, procedures, instructions as relevant and required by the QESH
Management System.
2. To comply with legal and other requirements applicable to the project.
3. Establish claim procedures to client and subcontractors including claim format, supporting documents,
joint measurement, method of measurement, deadline for claims submissions, variation orders,
material purchase on behalf, back charging and etc.
4. Originate, update and maintain the work plans including sub-contracting plans and mobilization plans.
5. Originate and control the overall project schedule for engineering, procurement, transportation and
construction.
6. Originate the overall project budget and perform overall project cost control.
7. Prepare monthly reports, material schedule and cash flow required by the contract for presentation.
8. Prepare the proposal for variations / claims for presentation to the client, analyze project progress and
recommend any improvements or remedial actions to the Project Manager.
9. Submit the progress payment claim to the client and receive the payment.
10. Attends site and coordination meeting.
B. COMPETENCY REQUIREMENT
Educational Level
Possess a recognized Diploma in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
Working Experience
Minimum 4 years site contract administration.
Knowledge / Skills
Able to undertake site valuation and measurement, prepare progress claims, control / monitoring
of costs and budget and procurement of materials.
Ability to liaise with sub-contractors on claim and contractual matters.
In-depth knowledge of government contract administration.
Must be initiative and independent
Computer literate and ability to use Autocad, Excel and Word Processing software
