Wintel Engineer
Job Description
Managing Wintel platform and cloud services infrastructure
Manage data and voice communications links nationwide
Ensure that all Windows Servers infrastructure has built in redundancy and high availability
Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves Servers/VM problems
undertaking routine preventative measures and implementing, maintaining and monitoring security patches for Windows operating systems
Monitoring the use of the web by employees.
Monitoring and allocation of Wintel/Cloud/VMware usage
Consolidation on network performance reports
Cloud technologies such as Office 365 Enterprise (E3, E5, EMS) / Azure IAAS
Preferably Senior Executives specializing in IT/Computer - Network/System/Database Admin or equivalent.
Hands on knowledge on Hyper converged architecture and hardware setup
Hands on knowledge on ESXi, vCenter , Windows Server 2008 R2 / 2012/ 2016/2019
Knowledge of using Microfocus/BSM) tool for managing incidents, change etc.
Hands on experience on Commvault backup management
In depth knowledge on Active directory, DNS and Proxy
Understanding of ESXi architecture and VMware horizon VDI solution
Understanding of Patch management with WSUS and SCCM
Understanding of Antivirus technologies like Trend micro
Experience in deploying and supporting SQL DB
