Job Description

Role Responsibilities:

Oversee purchasing activities, including sourcing and ordering raw materials and trading products to support production and sales. Guide and supervise the Purchasing team to ensure effective execution of procurement plans. Request quotations, negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to maintain competitive purchasing costs. Manage shipping and logistics for imported raw materials and coordinate with forwarding agents to meet customs and SST requirements. Monitor stock levels to ensure sufficient supply and avoid production downtime; ensure timely delivery of materials. Maintain strong communication with suppliers to improve delivery, pricing, and material quality. Ensure all purchased materials meet required specifications, including safety and compliance standards (e.g., RoHS) Evaluate new and existing suppliers using internal vendor rating systems Support environmental, health, and safety requirements and participate in related audits, training, and activities. Manage purchase orders, supplier master data, and material master data. Handle filing of business correspondences and purchase orders. Liaise with Customs and MIDA authorities.

Role Requirements:

Degree in Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum 5 years of procurement management experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and reporting. Knowledge of SIRIM audits and importation processes is an advantage Able to work independently as well as in a team.

Pay: RM12,000.00 - RM14,000.00 per month
