A recognised Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management or its equivalent. Minimum 5 years related working experience in purchasing administration. Self-motivated, initiative, independent with good interpersonal skills. Preferably a member of the

Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply

or equivalent professional body. Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.

Job Responsibilities:

Implement all policies, activities, procedures, instructions as relevant and required by the QESH Management System. Provide and demonstrate the leadership and commitment for the overall implementation of the QESH Management System in the department. Take accountability for the effectiveness of the QESH Management System in the department. Ensure that the QESH Management System conforms to the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards in the department. Promote use of process approach, risk-based thinking and life cycle perspective in the organisation. Take responsibility and accountability for prevention of work-related injury and ill health in the department. Promote customer focus and improvement in the department. Comply with client and applicable legal and other requirements. Determine risks, opportunities and plan actions and ensure they are implemented. Report on performance of QESH Management System including QESH performance in the department to the Top Management. Assist the Purchasing Manager on the monitoring of the day-to-day job functions in the Purchasing Department. Review reports from Purchasing Executive. Assist Purchasing Executive on trouble shooting problem faced by projects. Coordinate with Project Manager on product requirements. Liaise with Project Manager/Engineer at project site for problems due to delivery, availability and quality of products.
