\'To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we\'re looking to add a Purchasing Manager located in Prai, Penang. What a typical day looks like: - Prepares instructions regarding purchasing systems and procedures. - Establishes goals and objectives for purchasing department. - Develops policies and procedures for the operation of procurement activities. - Manage and lead a team of buyers and expeditors to meet procurement and supplier management objectives. - Interface with procurement groups in updating and maintaining company procurement strategies. - Implement processes with suppliers to improve on time delivery and Purchase Price Variance. - Implement Vendor Managed Inventory models. - Supervise the team in the management of the supply chain to achieve continuous timely supply of parts and services. - Prepares, approves and issues purchase orders and change notices through subordinates. - Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy. - Ensures continuity of raw material supply to support production schedules and balances with achieving inventory level targets. - Analyzes inventory levels. Supports process to manage excess and obsolete material. - Conduct supplier performance reviews and support the team to maintain supplier consistent on time delivery and implement processes with suppliers to ensure on time delivery and quality of product / service. - Manage the sourcing of new supply bases for competitive pricing, quality and reliable products. - Keep senior management informed of present/future trends in availability and cost of materials, components and equipment. - Monitors on-time supplier deliveries, inventory turns, MRP execution, Purchase Price Variance, lead-time reduction, supplier performance and cost analysis. The experience we\'re looking to add to our team: - Typically requires a Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent experience. - Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of experience in materials or related field. - A background in electronics manufacturing is desired.\'
