Job Scope / Key Responsibilities

:

Material Procurement

Source and purchase raw materials, hardware, packaging, upholstery, wood, and other components required for furniture production. Ensure all materials meet the required specifications, quality standards, and cost expectations.

Supplier Management

Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and delivery schedules. Monitor supplier performance to ensure consistent quality and on-time delivery.

Order Processing

Prepare and issue purchase orders based on production schedules, stock levels, and project requirements. Follow up with suppliers to confirm order acceptance, delivery dates, and shipping details.

Inventory Coordination

Work closely with inventory and production teams to maintain optimal stock levels and avoid material shortages or overstock. Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure proper receipt and storage of goods.

Production Support

Collaborate with production planning to ensure timely availability of materials to meet manufacturing timelines. Expedite urgent orders and resolve any supply issues that may affect production.

Cost Control & Budgeting

Assist in monitoring purchasing budgets and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Analyze market trends and material cost fluctuations to support informed buying decisions.

Documentation & System Updates

Maintain accurate purchasing records, contracts, and supplier information. Ensure purchasing data is accurately recorded in ERP or procurement systems. Key in purchase invoice to control and in compliance with SST.

Quality & Compliance

Ensure all purchased goods comply with quality standards and industry regulations. Coordinate with QA/QC teams on defective or non-conforming materials and manage returns or replacements with suppliers.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
