The Purchasing Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing raw materials, packaging, and other supplies required for restaurant operations. The role ensures that all purchases meet the company's quality, cost, and delivery requirements while maintaining efficient stock levels and supplier relationships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Procurement & Sourcing
Source and purchase raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and equipment needed for restaurant operations.
Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, price, reliability, and service.
Negotiate terms, contracts, and pricing with vendors to ensure cost efficiency.
2. Inventory & Stock Management
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the kitchen or store team for timely replenishment.
Ensure proper documentation and tracking of all purchase orders and deliveries.
Work closely with the outlet managers and central kitchen to maintain optimal inventory levels.
3. Supplier Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers.
Handle supplier performance issues such as late deliveries or quality problems.
Conduct regular supplier evaluations and update the approved supplier list.
4. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare purchase orders, quotation comparisons, and procurement reports.
Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate records for audit and cost control purposes.
5. Cost Control & Budgeting
Monitor purchasing budgets and ensure cost-saving initiatives are implemented.
Identify opportunities for better pricing, product alternatives, or bulk purchase benefits.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum
Diploma / Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
.
At least
1-2 years of experience
in purchasing or procurement (preferably in the
F&B industry
).
Good negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with inventory management systems.
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
